He sang with various bands including four years with Ernie Hecksher in The Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel a top Nob Hill in San Francisco, The Beverly Wilshire, The Hollywood Roosevelt, Eden Roc, The Deauville, Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis in NYC, The Fountainbleu, The Everglades Club, and other Hotel’s and Resorts throughout North America, Canada, and two tours in South America. Mr. Holiday worked for bandleaders Ralston Ayers, Lawrence Welk, Ronnie Kemper, Dick Jurgens, Bobby Thomason, Dutch Deutch, Alan King, and many others. He sang for dancers, debutante balls, and parties. This was at a time which really was the last gasp of what was called, “Cabaret Society”. Working activly for charities and fundraiser, he raises money for several worthwhile organizations such as The USO, Operation Gratitude, and The Good Works Program of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. General Event Information | |
Guarantees The catering department must be notified of the exact number of guests attending a function at least 10 days prior to the start of the event. This will be considered a guarantee, for which you will be charged, even if fewer guests attend the function. The restaurant will prepare and set for 5% above the guaranteed number, if requested |

Service Charges A twenty (20%) percent service charge and applicable sales tax will be added to all food and beverage charges. Please note that service charge is taxable by California state law |

Buffets Each menu has a minimum number of persons required. Buffets will be set out for a maximum of 1 hour. The buffet may be extended for one hour for an additional fee of $10 per person |

Coffee with House Bread Coffee and House Bread are included in the three course meal option and the buffet option |

Plated Dinners All dinners shall have a minimum of two courses. Dinners with pre-selected entrée options may select up to three entrees (limited to 2 proteins and 1 vegetarian). Selections must be communicated ten days prior to the event |

Food and Beverage Provisions The restaurant must provide all food and beverage items. The California State Liquor Commission regulates the sale and service of alcoholic beverages and Cicada Restaurant is responsible for the administration of those regulations. It is the restaurant’s policy that all alcoholic beverages must be provided by the restaurant. Additional menu selections and customized proposals are available through your catering manager. We will be glad to custom design your menu and special order any food or beverage item that is not currently available on our printed food and beverage menus |

Wedding Coordinator We require approval of a Wedding Coordinator to be present for the entire duration of weddings that take place at Cicada |
