LouVino was founded by pharmacists-turned-restauranteurs Chad and Lauren Coulter in 2014. The Coulters got their entrepreneurial start by opening a ‘Paint-and-Sip’ business in Louisville in 2011 which exploded in popularity and lots of wine sales. When looking at the Louisville restaurant and bar scene, the Coulters noticed that there was not a significant player in the wine scene. After developing the general concept and meeting with now Culinary Director Tavis Rockwell, LouVino opened it’s first location in July, 2014 in the Highlands. Two more locations were opened in 2016 (Douglass Hills and Fishers, IN).
In August of 2018, LouVino opened it’s 4th location in Cincinnati & it’s 5th Downtown Indianapolis (Mass Ave) in March 2019!
