Established in 1980 by Peter and Sharon Demetropoulos in Hamden, Connecticut. Offering handmade confections, they quickly became a must stop for coffee and donuts in the New Haven area. As time went by, the family expanded the menu to include traditional lunch counter fare, and eventually relocated to a new building with a larger kitchen and the addition of a drive thru for their patrons on-the-go. The new location has become a destination for not only locals, but people from all over the state of Connecticut. Now, the restaurant is in the hands of Peter and Sharon’s daughter, Julie and son-in-law, Saki. The menu has expanded to include gourmet soups and sandwiches, there’s still no better place to grab a fresh donut.
