Barley’s Brewing Company – What’s On Tap
Pilsner
Barley’s Pilsner looks and drinks like a pilsner; we brew it using ale yeast with a healthydose of Czech Saaz hops. ABV 4.8%
Scottish Ale
Slightly malty and amber in color; tricky to brew, easy to drink. If you’re not sure what you want, you probably want this beer. ABV 6.6%
Pale Ale
Pale Ale was the first beer we brewed and continues to be one of our flagship ales. Because of the British malt it is not very pale, but the rich flavor matches the color beautifully. ABV 5.6%
Blood Thirst Wheat
Blood Thirst is citrusy and supremely refreshing with floral notes thanks to Sicilian blood orange zest added to the brew kettle, with puree added during and after fermentationABV 5.0%
Ukrainian Imperial Stout
The first time we brewed the RIS we didn’t think we’d get all the grain in the mash tun. The result is a roasted fruity beer you might be tempted to eat with a spoon. ABV 7.6%
Haze Odyssey
Barley’s take on the juicy/hazy IPA that has a pleasant hop profile evoking flavors of mango and pineapple with a slight bitterness that is mellowed by the addition of lactose. ABV 6.0%
Bourbon Meyer Buckeye Stout (Tulip)
BMBS starts with our Russian Imperial Stout at its base. We age it in wet bourbon barrels and add organic cacao nib and peanut butter. ABV 9.6%
$7.50
SAINT AND SINNER OKTOBERFEST
Barley’s first Marzen is brewed with German Pilsner and Munich malts, American toasted malts, and balanced by German Perle hops. Lagered with Munich yeast for a crisp, dry finish, copper in color and easy drinking it has a toasty malt flavor and aroma. 5.2% abv
Cerveza de Mercado
With the proprietors of Market Bar, Wayne and Pete, we brewed a margarita inspired Mexican style beer. Wayne and Pete spent a day in the brewery, and we brewed a blonde beer at a refreshing 4.8% abv. The subtle hop aromas of Honeydew Melon, Orange, Strawberry and Tropical Fruit are from German Huell Melon hops. We added the zest from a 40 lb. case of limes (thanks for all the knife work Wayne!) and a judicious amount of sea salt to this thirst quencher.
The 13th Guest Brown Ale
homebrew competition winner jim suddduth’s English brown ale is made with a combination of 7 different malts, making for a toasty, chocolaty, and nutty grain flavor. British East Kent Golding Hops give it a very nice balance. 5.8% ABV
