Booths line the walls of this family-friendly eatery boasting Southern fried fish dishes.
Calabash style seafood originated in the small town of Calabash, North Carolina. In eastern North Carolina, just twenty miles north of Myrtle Beach, S.C., this seafood capitol is located on the banks of the inland waterway. This style of seafood became famous because of both the seasoning and preparation. The freshest of seafood is lightly breaded and fried to perfection.
At Captain Luey’s you can enjoy either original or salt and pepper calabash recipes, or you can choose from Captain Luey’s delicious broiled or chargrilled selections.
And of course it can’t be Calabash without hush puppies and sweet tea!
