We are located down the street from Central Park, where the most fireflies can be found in the city, it’s an homage to Bologna, its cuisine, its cinematic history…a city of dreams brought to life here in New York City.

The dishes, the atmosphere and the overall concept of Lucciola, was specifically inspired from the film Fest di Laurea, directed by Pupi Avati. We portray Avati’s nostalgic and romantic mood of Bologna in our restaurant.

The restaurant is dedicated to the lead actor in Avati’s film: Nik Novecento, who embodied the values of Bologna from its food passion, soul, courageousness and kindness, he was pure love.
