Our restaurant name is inspired by two Japanese words: OSAKA & IZAKAYA
The chef Takashiro Sano (who was born and raised in Osaka) is driven by strong curiosity and great passion, pursued his dream by start working as a front of house staff (waiter, Bartender and Captain) in New York. Later Sano got an opportunity to work at Yoppari (Clinton St, New York) a fine-dining Japanese restaurant where he met Chef Junya his first mentor who taught Sano everything about meticulous Japanese cooking techniques.
