| Original Fish Chips In the early 20th century when the fishing industry was booming in the Great Lakes, fishermen would return from the rough waters of Lake Michigan to port and filet their daily catch to sell. The scraps of fish left behind were promptly doused in batter and fried in hot grease for the hungry fishermen to enjoy. This tradition was the inspiration behind one of our original menu items, Fish Chips, chunks of lightly battered Icelandic Cod that we toss in breadcrumbs and deep fry on the spot. French Fries are not included nor are they necessary but we do recommend some of our Tartar or Cocktail sauce to go with it. |
