El Cotorro offers exceptionally high quality tacos including braised oxtail, house-smoked lamb, chicken tinga, a celebrated chard/potato/purslane vegan taco, a deep-fried nopales vegetarian taco, an traditional favorites such as tacos al pastor, carnitas tacos. All are available on our house-made corn tortillas. We also offer elotes (charred seasoned corn on the cob), six fresh house-made salsas, and a rotating ceviche of the day.
El Cotorro has an attached ice cream shop that features house-made, gelato-style ice creams with Mexico City flavor profiles including: Tres Leches Ice Cream, Azteca (chocolate and red chile) ice cream, and dozens of flavors. For a real treat, try our churro ice cream sandwich.
