Open Kitchen creates unique events, offers a weekly prepared meal delivery, caters small and large events, and has a unique approach to facilitating business and nonprofit strategic planning and team building sessions. We prepare food that is globally inspired and uses local, seasonal produce. We support local businesses and nonprofits and collaborate with businesses and chefs. We build community around food because the kitchen is the heart and soul of community! Food nourishes our bodies, our spirits, and our connections with others. Every meal is an opportunity to celebrate the kitchen as the center of sensory pleasure, healthy living, learning, creativity, and community.

A French free-form tart, with homemade pastry dough, is inspired by the seasonal kale and portobellos we can get from the farmers market! Adding a few apples for natural sweetness makes this a simple and delicious galette topped with a nutty Gruyère. Served with Green Curry Chicken Soup.

Algerian Chicken Tagine w/ Apricots & Pine Nuts Served with Couscous & Braised Greens (dairy free)
This North African chicken tagine is a wonderful combination of comfort and exotic in one dish. It was a hit at our Open Kitchen Bistro in DC Metro! We love the blend of spices from cinnamon, turmeric, coriander, to cumin with the sweetness of the apricots and the earthiness of the pine nuts. A bonus to the amazing flavor is that these spices have immense health benefits. We hope you’ll enjoy it!
