Hannibal’s oldest, family-owned diner and restaurant, The Mark Twain Dinette, has be serving the area since 1942. They are known for their Maid-Rite, Tenderloins, Breaded Onion Rings, Homemade Root Beer, Fried Chicken, and Burgers.

The restaurant menu features diverse diner and home-style selections, as well as clearly marked Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Friendly options.

Famous Breaded Onion Rings
Breaded sweet yellow onions served in a basket or stacked in half-foot or foot to share. Served with our chili ranch dipping sauce, sweet mustard, and barbecue sauce. -Vegetarian

An open faced Maid-Rite or Half-Size Tenderloin topped with our housemade chili, shredded cheddar, and diced onion. Served with a side of fries.

A seasoned ground beef sandwich served on a steamed bun with onion and pickle. We have been serving these since 1942.

Lightly breaded fried chicken with Texas Toast. Served with mashed potatoes & gravy, and loaded green beans. Each order is made fresh and takes 20-25 minutes.
